The last 3 days of our year could not have ended with better people. The Merchants welcomed us, strangers, into their home in Auckland with open arms. These typical New Zealanders, trusting, generous, hospitable, made us feel right at home. We felt so comfortable, they were like long lost friends.

So this ends our year away. Did we change you ask? We left with hopes of changing our outlook on life and getting back to basics and we certainly succeeded. We've slowed down our pace of life, and have realized to appreciate and take advantage of what is right in front of us. We feel grateful for every moment that occurred during this past year, the good and not so good. We've learned, we've grown, we've laughed, we've fought, we've triumphed, and we've succeeded. The people, places and time spent together will be with us forever.

We thank each and every person we met along our journey. We have learned from each of you and you have each influenced us.

We hope you have enjoyed following our blog. Love Julie and Nate.
